How to backup your transactions

Want to make sure your transactions are saved in case something happens to your phone? We don’t blame you. When you backup your transactions, they are kept safe and sound in our secure servers in the cloud. Then, anytime you need them you can log into the app on any phone and then you have them!

Coach tip! The coach uses your data on our servers to run analysis to generate your insights. If you have a lot of data in your phone that is not backed off, your insights may not be 100% up to date. It’s important to backup whenever you can.

Automatic backup

At OZÉ we don’t like to leave things to chance. If you are connected to the internet, we automatically backup each transaction as it’s recorded. We know that there is not always a good connection, so you can still input transactions when you are offline. Then, we automatically backup all unsaved transactions the next time you connect.

Backup your transactions

If you have changed the Backup settings to only backup when you are connected to Wifi, you can still manually backup your data any time you are connected.

Follow the instructions below to manually backup your transactions:

  • In your OZÉ app, go to the transaction screen by clicking the Menu in the top left hand corner and then clicking Transactions. ( ☰ ➜ Transactions )

  • At the top right of the Transaction screen, click the backup icon.

  • Next, you will see a message that says Ongoing Data Backup and then a message that says Backup Successful.

Coach Tip! If you are trying to backup your transactions and it is not working, do not log out. Contact Coach and we’ll help you. If you log out when you have transactions that are not backed up, you risk losing them.

Backup Settings

What if you only want to backup your data when you’re connected to Wifi? While we don’t recommend this we understand that sometimes you need to monitor your data usage. So you can change this setting.

Follow the instructions below to change your settings to only backup your data when you’re connected to Wifi:

  • In your OZÉ app, click on the Hamburger menu in the top left corner and then click Settings. ( ☰ ➜  Settings )

  • On the Settings screen under Data Use, click on the toggle on the right to change to Backup my data only when there’s Wifi.
